We’re excited to introduce Laetitia Beke, the newest addition to our team as a Marketing Intern!  Based just around the corner from our headquarters in Heverlee, Laetitia is in her final year of pursuing a Professional Bachelor in Marketing at UCLL.

Laetitia is ready to dive into this internship, gain hands-on experience, and grow into an even stronger marketer—all while helping Essensium move forward! With a solid foundation in strategy, content creation, and communication from multiple projects. She also recently took over the marketing department for 3 months at Ameauré (selling multifunctional faucets).  Join us in welcoming Laetitia.

Can you tell us a bit about your responsibilities?

During my internship, I’ll be diving into some exciting marketing adventures! I’ll work on our 20-year anniversary campaign, where I’ll brainstorm ideas, create cool content, and help organize the event. I’ll also analyse what our competitors are up to and suggest ways to make our brand stand out. Plus, I’ll explore how we can boost our employer branding—maybe even bring Instagram into the mix! And of course, I’ll be supporting the team with events, newsletters, and social media posts. It’s going to be a mix of creativity, strategy, and teamwork, and I can’t wait to get started!

What’s the best thing about your job?

The best thing about my job? As I’m new I am still trying to figure that out, but so far, it’s how incredibly welcoming the team has been! Everyone’s gone above and beyond to make me feel like part of the Essensium team learning to know all departments, and I’m super grateful for that. It’s such a great feeling to know I can contribute to the company’s goals while learning and growing along the way. I’m excited to discover even more amazing things as I dive deeper into the role!

What are the biggest challenges in your work?

I’m really excited about making the most of these three months and seeing how much I can accomplish! Being at a fair for the first time on the other side of the booth is definitely going to be a challenge, but that’s what makes it so exciting. It’s a great opportunity to learn how to engage with people and represent a brand in a real-world setting. On top of that, working with both divisions of Essensium—Mind and EPS—will be an interesting challenge since they have different target audiences and communication styles. But I love the idea of adapting strategies to fit each one—it’s what makes marketing so dynamic!

Which things are on your bucket list – what do you absolutely want to have done?

Two weeks ago, I visited Finland but missed seeing the auroras—still a bucket list dream. I’m excited to explore more countries and experience the world’s beauty. This summer, I’ll visit family in Peru and also explore Bolivia, Argentina, and Chile.  My bucket list goes on with mastering Flamenco guitar in Spain or soaring in a hot air balloon…

Professionally, I’m all about growth, and Essensium feels like the perfect place to level up!I’m passionate about refining my current skills in content creation, copywriting, data visualization, dashboarding, LinkedIn campaigns, strategy development, and market research—while also diving into new challenges and expanding my expertise.—because let’s be real, learning is the ultimate power-up. I’m ambitious and have my sights set on leading a dream team one day.

What do you do in your free time?

I’m a real busy bee.  Before starting my internship, I travelled to Finland, Hungary, and Spain. I play classical guitar at the Conservatorium in Leuven and enjoy reading—currently diving into Homo Deus. For fitness, I hit the gym and swim. I’m a foodie, I love to cook and share recipes.
