Meet Steffi, who lives in Merchtem and holds a Professional Bachelor in Facility Management from Odisee and a Bachelor after Bachelor in Marketing from Artevelde University College. She has gained valuable experience through internships in various fields, including facilities management at UZ-Brussels, logistics analysis at HOGent, and retail marketing at ZEB, a leading Belgian fashion retailer (part of Colruyt group).

Steffi is passionate about using her skills to enhance brand visibility and improve customer engagement. She is motivated to launch her professional career and is excited to bring her copywriting and creative talents to our team at Essensium. With her diverse background and enthusiasm for innovation, she’s ready to make a positive impact on our organization.

  • Can you tell us a bit about your responsibilities?

Sure! I’m very lucky and my tasks are things I love to do: (copy)writing, reviewing, and publishing various content marketing materials such as e-newsletters, website copy, blogs, and LinkedIn posts to enhance our SafeTrack and corporate brand visibility and generate new leads. You definitely should check them out sometime, because I like to get creative!

Additionally I update the content calendar, create video posts related to weekly themes, so that you guys are always up to date! Interviewing our employees for the internal Essensium Gazette is also a part of the job, but a little chat with our colleagues I don’t mind (at all) ;).

I’m someone who grew up with a smartphone so social media is always in my day-to-day routine. So managing the social media channels of Essensium and producing digital content and animations are some things I’m practically born for. Overall we can say that my responsibilities are varied, but that is what I like, because who likes a day that’s every time the same…?

  • What’s the best thing about your job?

The best thing about this job is the variation it offers. I’ll work on a wide range of tasks, from writing blogs and crafting social media posts to producing videos and managing digital campaigns, ensuring that everyday is different. This diversity keeps the work fresh and engaging, allowing me to constantly learn and apply new skills while contributing to different aspects of the brand’s marketing strategy. Plus, the opportunity to collaborate with various teams adds to the excitement and creativity of the role, which makes it even more fun.

  • What are the biggest challenges in your work?

The biggest challenge in this job could be managing multiple deadlines and priorities at the same time. With the variety of tasks, it can be demanding to stay organized and ensure everything is delivered on time and to a high standard. Additionally, adapting to rapidly changing digital marketing trends and technologies can require constant learning and flexibility, but I’m excited to embrace the challenge and grow with it.

  • What do you do in your free time?

If I’m up to it, I go to the gym to burn some calories and build a little bit of a condition (because I haven’t any). If I’m not in the mood, I probably go for a walk with my dog. I also love going to amusement parks and meeting up with my friends is always a good idea! That’s where you probably can find me most of the time.

  • Which things are on your bucket list – what do you absolutely want to have done?

Where do I begin… On the top of my list is traveling around the world and hopefully one day I will, because I’m passionate about exploring new cultures! I’m always searching for some action so skydiving cannot be missed from my list. Riding a horse in Texas or a trip through the jungle, sign me up please!

Now professionally I would say that I grow to be a valuable force within Essensium. Refining my current skills and gaining new knowledge and experiences also can’t be missed from my bucket list. But most importantly a job that makes me happy!
