– What attracted you to Essensium?

Essensium is a disruptive technology solution taking the industry by storm. Warehousing, and in particular warehouse mapping has been an area I have really excelled in. Coupled with my fleet management and digitisation experience it gave me some insights into the nuances of safety that are not immediately obvious to an untrained eye. I began to explore the difference between safety and compliance. Although the two are complementary to each other, the latter relies on behavioral change. In the current climate we need absolute freedom of danger, risk, injury and loss. I found Essensium whilst researching solutions for commonly asked questions and the way I viewed safety management immediately changed so I decided to apply.

What really attracted me was Essensium’s RTLS (Real Time Location Systems) technology. The EPS (Essensium Positioning System) RTLS system uses camera-based technology complemented by AI (Artificial Intelligence) that constantly monitors the positions of tracked vehicles and pedestrians within the facility. I was thoroughly amazed by its SafeTrack Pedestrian effectiveness.

Essensium builds a digital twin of the environment, then applies rules that ensure all interactions both vehicle to vehicle and vehicle to pedestrian are managed safely. Seamlessly integrating into operations whilst ensuring optimum productivity.

Essensium customers also have access to an online portal where they can view their fleet movements in real time offering an unparalleled eye on operational efficiencies and also access a comprehensive reporting suite delivering sophisticated, tangible effective data.

I believe Essensium’s SafeTrack solution represents a significant advancement toward AI and automation by shifting decision-making from the operator to EPS rules through real time engagement.

– What are your responsibilities and goals?

I joined the continental EPS team as a technical project engineer to deploy our SafeTrack solution in the UK and Ireland. In this role I will be coordinating the installation, validation, and acceptance of our SafeTrack solution at our clients facilities. My goal is to take warehouse mapping and productivity to the next level.

– How have you found joining Essensium?

Essensium is an amazing company, there is a real team feel and I have been welcomed in and fully supported by everyone since starting in April. They have been very hospitable, I have already traveled, attended trade shows, undertaken training and attended company gatherings. The company is full of great minds doing exciting things and I feel very lucky to be a part of the team. The company is also expanding exponentially. It is a very exciting time.
