She used to dance, but when that chapter ended, she started looking for new ways to express her creativity. She found it in small artistic activities like diamond painting or coloring books, but mostly through playing her guitar. What she loves most, though, is snuggling with little Rambo, her cat.
We are very excited to see what ideas she will bring to the table!
Why did you choose Essensium?
After a research internship at the University of KU Leuven, it became clear to me that I was drawn to a more creative path since I loved designing a website and creating social media content. The marketing intern position at Essensium offered exactly what I was looking for: a position where my professional career in marketing could truly take off. Being able to contribute to a company that’s at the forefront of warehouse technology is, of course, a big plus!
Can you tell us a bit about your responsibilities?
I am mostly responsible for the creative aspect of our marketing content, by creating visuals and writing copy, while constantly thinking about new ways to make our brand stand out. I also contribute to both internal and external communication: writing internal newsletters, website content, social media management… Additionally, I assist wherever needed, for example at events.
What’s the best thing about your job?
As I am still new in the role, I am constantly discovering new aspects of the work, which makes it really exciting as well. Right now, I love that I am able to come forward with all my creative ideas, knowing they will always be warmly received. I am really looking forward to seeing these ideas come to life as actual content!
What are the biggest challenges in your work?
Daring to speak up and having confidence in my ideas have always been points of growth for me. Throughout this internship, I hope to grow and gain more confidence, but the warm atmosphere within the team already gives me a feeling that I will be able to do so.
Which things are on your bucket list – what do you absolutely want to have done?
I absolutely want to see more of the world, especially with my friends, because what feeling beats sharing the amazement of discovering beautiful places together? One of my biggest dreams is to see the Northern Lights in Lapland one day. Professionally, I hope to grow in the world of marketing and communication and become a valuable asset. I also can’t wait to have my own place and let myself go with the interior design and decoration.
What do you do in your free time?
In my free time, I love meeting up with friends to catch up on life, but I also enjoy a calm walk with some music in my ears. I play a bit of guitar, because what else do you do during quarantine besides buying a guitar and watching YouTube tutorials? On top of that, I am convinced that my cat counts as a (sportive) hobby.
