C++ developer / computer vision engineer

Skills

You’re an experienced C++11 (or newer) and Python developer and you have a good understanding of computer vision applications in the market. Ideally you have some insights and understanding of robotics & industrial applications.

You know the challenges related to maintaining a large code base. You also have a solid background in mathematics. Hence, you understand linear algebra, matrices and 3D coordinate transformations and you know how to visualize 2D and 3D data. You work systematically and make extensive use of version control.

Interests

You’re interested in the following technology topics listed below and having experience in some of them is even better, of course.  You are willing to learn new computer & vision technologies and you’re able to quickly assimilate new information on your own.

Language / Location

  • You are fluent in English, Dutch or French optional
  • Minimum 2 days a week office based

Environment

You’ll be working in Leuven in a small multinational team of highly skilled engineers where you’ll develop and take ownership of part of a complex architecture for computer vision to support our SafeTrack platform. Occasionally, you will also be making customer visits for testing and demo purposes.
Essensium is a product solution company that designs, sells and provides support for a real-time safety product (RTLS) in a logistics environment. Focus on the product is of the utmost importance.
