Behind the scenes with our HR, Fleet and Office Manager – meet Jessie Heyndrickx 

We’re thrilled to introduce our newest team member, Jessie Heyndrickx, whose professional journey has been marked by extensive expertise in the domains of HR and Finance. Having held various positions over the years, she brings a wealth of experience to our organization. Jessie joined our team in June 2023, she will work in close collaboration with our CEO, Filip Buerms

What do you do during a typical work day?

In my role as an HR manager at Essensium, I am responsible for overseeing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and strategies that align with our company’s growth and success. This involves managing all employee-related matters such as job offers, employment contracts, compensation and benefits, and ensuring compliance with the latest laws and regulations.

Additionally, I have taken on the challenge of managing our company’s fleet. The task is significant, especially considering the upcoming increase in tax costs for company cars. To mitigate this, we are actively transitioning our fleet to be more environmentally friendly. Although this transition impacts various aspects of our organization, it’s a necessary step towards sustainability.

What’s the best thing about your job?

I love my job because every day presents a fresh set of challenges. Being a part of a successful and growing technology company is incredibly satisfying, and working with a driven team is a great pleasure. At the start of each month, my attention is on handling invoicing tasks, followed by payroll responsibilities for teams based in France, the UK, and Belgium.

What is the most challenging part of your job?

The broad variety of my tasks present the most significant challenge. With Essensium’s continuous international growth, my main challenge lies in effectively integrating all aspects of my role.
